Digital history and digital humanities practitioners pride themselves on supporting on open access. We like to make sure the general public has access to the knowledge that we create. But if you give something away, you can’t sell it. And that means we can either turn to the taxpayer, or try something different. The Digital History Lab is going for the latter.
